What is a MicroPeel?

Our classic facial service, the MicroPeel, is a combination treatment of our HydraFacial MD® microdermabrasion followed by the topical application of our custom acids. The added benefit of the treatment is the chemical peel portion of the treatment. When the acids are applied to your face after the microdermabrasion, you can expect heightened results from your treatment. Our MicroPeel services are customized for each patient based on their goals and the current health of their skin and can help improve hyperpigmentation, erase fine lines, and most importantly, renew the health of your skin.

What happens in the MicroPeel procedure?

The MicroPeel procedure begins with microdermabrasion using our advanced HydraFacial MD® system. During this step, the handheld diamond-tip device will be guided over your skin for a gentle exfoliation, which removes damaged skin cells. Suction is then applied to the area to lift these cells and clears your pores. Once the microdermabrasion is complete, the chemical peel treatment can begin. Using our custom acid-based formulas, the solution will be applied topically to your skin. This additional step helps further minimize wrinkles, acne scars, and age spots.

How long does a MicroPeel treatment take?

A typical MicroPeel treatment takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. However, this will vary based on the size and number of areas to be treated.

Does the MicroPeel hurt?

The sensation from the MicroPeel varies based on the acids utilized. During the initial microdermabrasion step, the device may feel rough as it exfoliates the skin. However, we strive to help you remain as comfortable as possible, adjusting your treatment based on the level of discomfort you are experiencing.

How often should I undergo the MicroPeel treatment?

Since the skin continues to accumulate more damaged skin cells, it can be beneficial to regularly undergo the MicroPeel treatment to maintain your glowing, healthy skin results. Depending on the health of your skin, the frequency at which you come in for additional sessions may vary. For those with generally normal, acne-free skin, our skin care experts typically recommends undergoing the MicroPeel process monthly. If your skin has more severe irregularities or damage, you may require more frequent treatments in the beginning to effectively reverse the damage.

Are there any side effects to the MicroPeel?

Since the MicroPeel provides a deep exfoliation to the skin, it is not uncommon to experience some degree of irritation, such as redness. However, most patients typically have mild side effects that quickly fade as their skin heals. Makeup can be applied after treatment to conceal potential redness. More details about possible side effects will be thoroughly explained to you during your consultation.

How much does a MicroPeel cost?

Since every MicroPeel treatment is fully customized to the unique needs of the patient, the cost will vary. Factors that may affect how much you can expect to pay include the chemicals used, number of areas to be treated, and size of these target areas.
