What Is the Silhouette InstaLift™?
The Silhouette InstaLift™, often referred to as the “lunchtime facelift,” is an FDA-approved treatment that can lift sagging tissue in the lower face and neck. Similar to NovaThreads, the Silhouette InstaLift procedure involves placing absorbable surgical threads into the tissue beneath the skin to rejuvenate one’s facial appearance. These threads are gently pulled to suspend sagging tissue, which helps minimize deep lines and improve facial contours. This minimally invasive process provides a lifting effect while continuing to rejuvenate the face through the use of small cones composed of Sculptra® Aesthetic (poly-L-lactic acid). In addition to its short treatment time, the Silhouette InstaLift offers patients the ability to achieve a more youthful appearance without the recovery time associated with traditional surgery.

Am I a Candidate for the Silhouette InstaLift?
If you want to rejuvenate your facial appearance but prefer to avoid invasive surgery, you may be a good candidate for the Silhouette InstaLift. With results that last longer than cosmetic injectables, the Silhouette InstaLift can prove especially beneficial for those with noticeable marionette lines or nasolabial folds. To be considered for the procedure, you will need to schedule a consultation with Dr. Jodie Reinertson, so she can evaluate if the Silhouette InstaLift is the best option for helping you achieve your cosmetic goals.
In general, patients should exhibit the following qualities to be deemed a good candidate for the Silhouette InstaLift:
- Moderate sagging in the lower face and neck
- Good skin quality
- Strong bone structure
- Tissue is able to be elevated
What Does the Silhouette InstaLift Procedure Entail?
The Silhouette InstaLift is an outpatient procedure performed under local anesthesia. To begin the procedure, Dr. Reinertson will strategically place the optimal number of sutures into the subcutaneous tissue. These sutures are made of a dissolving material that has been widely used in the medical field for over 30 years. After they have been inserted, Dr. Reinertson will adjust the facial tissue to a slightly elevated position. Bidirectional cones are then attached to these threads, which are made up of Sculptra Aesthetic, helping prevent them from shifting. Free-standing cones are also placed in the treatment area to promote collagen growth for a long-lasting and natural-looking outcome.
As soon as the sutures are in place, you should see your lifted results. In addition to this immediate improvement, the sutures signal fibroblast cells to gradually produce collagen over time. The duration of the Silhouette InstaLift procedure will vary based on how many threads are placed, but the process can typically be completed within 30 to 45 minutes. After your procedure, you can expect minimal downtime. Our team will provide you with personalized instructions for how to care for your treatment area in the following days and weeks.
How Long Do Silhouette InstaLift Results Last?
Results from the Silhouette InstaLift are immediate, and the area continues to improve as new collagen production adds more volume with time. Patients can typically enjoy their results for up to 18 months, making the Silhouette InstaLift a longer-lasting solution compared to treatment with injectables.
How Much Does the Silhouette InstaLift Cost?
The Silhouette InstaLift tends to be a more affordable option than traditional facelift surgery, making it a more realistic procedure for many people. Although treatment details will vary based on the patient and the degree of their facial aging, the cost of a Silhouette InstaLift starts at approximately $3,000. After Dr. Reinertson has had the opportunity to discuss your goals and evaluate your facial appearance, our team can provide you with a personalized quote for your procedure.
