MICRO-PEELS
Chemical peels have been used in cosmetic dermatology for decades to diminish fine lines, treat acne and reduce scarring. We are lucky to be in a time where years of research and advancements have allowed us to unlock the secrets of anti-aging with chemical peels. We use Bella Derm cosmeceuticals and peeling agents to achieve reliable and consistent results. We encourage you to come in for a free consultation and let us work together to find what type of peel will help you achieve your goals the fastest. Peel patients must be off of Accutane for at least a year before starting peels, and must wear sunscreen.

What
is a Micro-Peel?
Micro-peels
are safe and effective treatments that can rejuvenate the skin and can
actually effect living tissue (dermis). Traditional peels like Glycolic,
Jessner and TCA peels work mainly on dead skin tissue (epidermis). They
are called micro-peels since there is a medical microdermabrasion before
the peeling agent is applied.
How
Does a Micro-Peel Work?
When
we are youthful our living tissue (the dermis) is very thick and dead
skin tissue (epidermis) is very thin. As we age this reversed itself
and more and more dead tissue makes our epidermis thicker than our dermis.
This makes our skin wrinkle, discolor and look dull. Micro-peels are
designed to accelerate the cell turnover rate on the skin and deliver
powerful antioxidants to the underlying tissue. The peels are done in
a series of 6 treatments, at the end of which the skin is more youthful,
even toned and glowing.
What
Can I Achieve With Micro-Peels?
Micro-Peels
are effective at penetrating into the dermis, so a number of wonderful
effects can be achieved with them beyond anti-aging. Acne and pigmentation
can be treated with micro-peels since powerful medicine is delivered
to the tissues that cause these disorders.
