RADIESSE
Radiesse® dermal filler is a safe, next generation filler that does more than just fill in lines and wrinkles – it volumizes. In fact, RADIESSE dermal filler is setting a new standard in facial fold and wrinkle correction. This treatment restores a natural, youthful look that lasts. In many patients, the results may last for a year or more. Numerous medical studies have shown that RADIESSE dermal filler is a safe and effective treatment for filling and correcting facial wrinkles and nasolabial folds (Definition of 'nasolabial folds': See our patient to the right), as well as wrinkles around the nose and mouth. RADIESSE dermal filler stimulates the body to produce new collagen. This unique response provides immediate, visible improvement of folds and wrinkles, and provides long-lasting and natural results.
Radiesse injections are fast becoming the preferred method of facial rejuvenation for men across the world and is quickly replacing more invasive procedures like face lifts and surgery. Some men have a better time understanding how this treatment works by using a visual aid like the one

How Does Radiesse Work?
Radiesse® injections work below the skin's surface to stimulate the body to produce new collagen. RADIESSE filler does more than just temporarily fill in facial lines and wrinkles – it actually provides facial volume. You get immediate results that are long lasting.
RADIESSE injections consist of very small, smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres that are suspended in a water-based gel carrier. RADIESSE filler stimulates the body to produce new collagen, correcting facial wrinkles. This enables RADIESSE dermal filler to create a natural look that lasts.
Though your body will absorb the gel carrier over time, collagen will start to grow and infiltrate the area in the meantime, thus replacing the gel with your own collagen. RADIESSE dermal filler continues to stimulate the body to produce new collagen until the microspheres are also safely and naturally absorbed into your body.
Who Should Be Treated With Radiesse?
Radiesse is safe for all skin types and no allergy test is needed. Any man with deep facial folds or wrinkling can benefit from Radiesse injections.
Will I Need a Skin Test Before Getting Treated?
Unlike many collagen and synthetic fillers, Radiesse is made of a biocompatible substance already found in the body naturally - therefore no allergy skin test is needed. During a free consultation with Dr. Reinertson she can determine if Radiesse would be the best choice for your facial rejuvenation goals.
How Long Will Radiesse Last?
Radiesse lasts up to a year in clinical studies, making it one of the most economical of all dermal fillers.
How Much Radiesse Will I Need?
The amount of Radiesse needed per patient will depend in his particular facial features and how deep his folds/wrinkles are. Most patients start out needing one or two full syringes, and then only need a touch-up or half syringe for follow-up treatment in about a year down the road. Dr. Reinertson discounts a second syringe of Radiesse if it needed for your first treatment to help keep this treatment affordable for all.
Is the injection painful?
Dr. Reinertson mixes a small amount of numbing Lidocaine with the Radiesse itself before injecting. Using ice packs and a skilled and experienced hand she is able to make the Radiesse treatment very comfortable for her patients. Most patients feel a slight pinching or mild ache immediately post injection that usually goes away within a few minutes. Mild swelling or bruising can occur - but these are really the only side effects that can occur from this injection.
